About Me
I’ve been a nurse since 2003, after graduating with Distinction from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. But even before that, I was working in healthcare—as a Psychiatric Aide and Undergraduate Nurse—learning early on how much I loved supporting people through meaningful life moments.
For over 22 years, I’ve focused my nursing practice on caring for women, mothers, and babies through pregnancy, labour, birth, postpartum, and surgical recovery. It’s work I feel truly passionate about. Supporting families during such a powerful and personal time is something I consider both a privilege and an honour.
Over the years, I’ve built a deep well of knowledge, skills, and experience that I now bring into a more holistic, community-based approach to care. Most recently, I completed my Canadian Certification in Perinatal Mental Health (CC-PMH), and in 2025, I became certified in Holistic Nursing, Nurse Coaching, and Consultancy (CCHNC-C).
This pathway of experiences and learning opportunities led me to create United Community Wellness, a place to offer the kind of care that meets people where they’re at: whole-person, heart-centred, and grounded in both experience and compassion.
Outside of nursing, my biggest love is my family. I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and we have three amazing kids—our oldest is a young adult now, and the younger two are teens. Life at home is full and busy, but it’s also where I find the most joy and growth. I’ve lived in Alberta my whole life—raised on a farm in a small town, spent a few years in the city, and then happily returned to rural life after university. I’m a daughter, sister, auntie, niece, and friend—and those roles shape how I show up in the world, both personally and professionally.

What I Believe About the Body
Prevention and early support create stronger foundations for women’s health
Holistic nursing care focuses on proactive, compassionate support through every stage of life—from menstrual health to pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. By addressing concerns early and supporting the body as a whole, I help foster long-term wellbeing for both parent and baby.
Knowledge and compassionate guidance empower confident decision-making
Education is a meaningful part of holistic nursing care. I believe informed, supported patients are better able to advocate for themselves, make aligned decisions, and feel more confident throughout their health and perinatal journey.
Health is deeply connected to balance—physically, emotionally, and mentally
Women’s health is influenced by far more than physical symptoms alone. My care approach recognizes the importance of nervous system support, emotional wellbeing, rest, lifestyle, and daily rhythms in creating sustainable health and healing.
Holistic care is personalized, integrative, and centred around the whole person
Every woman’s experience is unique, which is why care should never be one-size-fits-all. By combining evidence-based nursing care with a holistic, individualized perspective, I create support that honours your body, your values, and your lived experience.
